DStv is changing its streaming-only packages in South Africa from 17 September 2026.
The new prices and channel line-up apply to customers who use DStv streaming, with decoder packages remaining unchanged.
The biggest change: DStv Sport
DStv Compact, which currently costs R399 per month, will be renamed DStv Sport.
The new package will focus more on sports while keeping some entertainment content.
Subscribers will get:
- Premier League and UEFA content
- PSL football
- International cricket
- Local rugby
- One URC match per week
- UFC
- Some entertainment channels
However, it will not include Formula 1, MotoGP, premium rugby such as Springbok matches, golf, or ATP tennis.
DStv will also launch Movies & Series for R500 per month. This package will include M-Net, marking the first time the channel will be available below DStv Premium.
