SuperSport to broadcast all 104 matches of FIFA World Cup 2026… with coverage in local African languages

In a surprise announcement this evening, SuperSport announced that it will broadcast all 104 matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The announcement was made during a sudden mid-game interruption while Kaizer Chiefs was playing Magesi FC, in a short ad starring Idris Elba.

DStv will broadcast the matches live across SuperSport on DStv, DStv Stream, GOtv, and GOtv Stream. Viewers can watch on mobile phones, laptops, and smart TVs.

Coverage will be available in English and Portuguese, as well as local African languages including isiZulu, Sesotho, Kiswahili, and Pidgin.

The tournament kicks off on 11 June 2026 on DStv, with the opening ceremony in Mexico City broadcast live on SuperSport.

The first match will see Bafana Bafana take on Mexico.

Coverage will run from pre-match build-up to the final whistle, bringing Africa together to watch.
