Looks like Ye’s South African show isn’t happening just yet. The controversial Kanye West (now known as Ye) concert in South Africa has been postponed to a later date.
The concert was set to take place on Saturday, 13 December, 2025, at Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg.
Organisers say it’s being reimagined as a bigger Yeezy-led production.
A statement obtained by News24 revealed that “Yeezy LLC confirms that Ye’s Johannesburg performance is being expanded into a larger Yeezy-led production in South Africa.”
Because of these upgraded plans, the performance “previously scheduled for 13 December 2025 will not be taking place on that date and is moving to a new date.”
For those who bought tickets… the team confirmed that “all ticket-holders… will receive a full refund from their original point of purchase,” and that “refunds will be processed by TicketPro,” with queries directed to “[email protected].”
Yeezy LLC emphasized their continued passion for the project, stating that “Ye and the Yeezy team remain committed and excited to perform in South Africa and on the continent,” and that they’re eager “to share the Johannesburg homecoming live and via broadcast with fans worldwide.”
However, the statement didn’t hold back, clarifying that “Yeezy LLC is no longer working with the previously announced promoter… due to non-compliance.”
