For this whole week, SOUTH AFRICA AIRWAYS takes over some FlySafair flights during pilot strike

South African Airways will temporarily carry FlySafair passengers as FlySafair pilots continue their two-week strike.

FlySafair’s pilots are demanding a 10.5% salary hike next year, followed by 4.5% and 4% increases over the following two financial years.

To help the beleaguered airline, South African Airways (SAA) stepped in this week, starting with the Durban–Cape Town route and operating two flights on Tuesday.

SAA will further continue operating some of FlySafair’s flights until Sunday, 27 July 2025.
