Qatar Airways and Kenya Airways agreed to enter a strategic partnership that increases the number of flights between Qatar and Kenya. As part of this deal, Qatar Airways will add a third daily flight between Doha and Nairobi, operated as a codeshare with Kenya Airways. This new service will be available for booking soon.
Additionally, Kenya Airways will launch flights between Mombasa and Doha during the upcoming winter season, with Qatar Airways marketing those flights under the same partnership. Both carriers will also code-share on a broader scale, offering passengers smoother connections and more global travel choices.
Beyond flights, the partnership includes collaboration in cargo, airport handling, loyalty programs, procurement, maintenance, and more.
Engr Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Qatar Airways Group CEO, said: “This partnership is yet another demonstration of our deepening ties with the African region,” adding that “today’s agreement — which comes as we celebrate 20 years of flying to Kenya — reflects our strong track record of partnerships across the continent, including our recent investment in Airlink.”
