Tems will perform at FIFA Club World Cup in America

Tems to Perform at Historic FIFA Halftime Concert in the U.S.

Nigerian music sensation Tems is set to make history as she joins the lineup for the first-ever FIFA halftime concert in the United States. The groundbreaking performance will see her share the stage with global music heavyweights J Balvin and Doja Cat.

The show, organized by FIFA in collaboration with Global Citizen, marks a major moment in sports and entertainment, blending the global appeal of football with the worldwide influence of music.

Tems’ participation further cements her status as a global star and cultural force. This won’t be her first time performing at a major international sporting event. In 2023, she captivated audiences during the NBA All-Star Afrobeats Halftime Show, performing alongside Burna Boy and Rema—a performance widely praised for introducing Afrobeats to a broader American audience.

A Monumental Year for Tems

The year 2025 is shaping up to be another milestone chapter in Tems’ career. During a recent sold-out show in London, she announced that her second studio album is slated for release in 2026, sparking excitement among fans worldwide. Her debut album, “Born in the Wild,” released in 2024, was met with critical acclaim and commercial success, solidifying her place as one of the leading voices in contemporary music.

Shortly after that announcement, Tems was honored with the Billboard Diamond Award at the prestigious Billboard Global Power Players event. She shared the spotlight with fellow Nigerian music icon Olamide, who also received recognition for his contributions to the global music scene.

Rising Beyond Borders

Tems’ Diamond Award is just the latest testament to her meteoric rise and impact on the global stage, particularly in the United States. Her hit single “Love Me Jeje” recently earned a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)—a major achievement that reflects her growing fan base and streaming dominance.

In addition to “Love Me Jeje,” Tems recently received four new RIAA certifications, adding to her impressive list of accolades. With each release, she continues to set new standards for African artists on the international scene.

From Lagos to the World

From her soulful vocals to her genre-defying sound, Tems is a trailblazer redefining African music on a global scale. Her upcoming FIFA halftime performance is not just a career milestone—it’s a celebration of how far Afrobeats and African artistry have come.

As she prepares to take one of the biggest stages in sports, one thing is clear: Tems is not just representing Nigeria—she’s representing a new global era in music.
