‘BEHIND THE LENS with Queen Liz’: Elizabeth Essuman and her Panelists look at Religious Beliefs of Yesterday & Today — and they Question Why One should be Superior to the Other

It is no hidden truth that religious beliefs have evolved significantly from ancient, often animistic or localized, practices to the structured, organized, and globalized religions of today. The question of whether old or modern beliefs are “superior” is subjective and often depends on whether one prioritizes adherence to tradition, purity of doctrine, or adaptability to modern ethics.

This week on ‘BEHIND THE LENS with Queen Liz’, hosted by Elizabeth Essuman, she throws the arena wide open to Avraham Ben Moshey, UTI Dawah and God’s General, to express their opinions and also walk the viewers through the subject matter of why should one’s belief be accepted above the other?

This episode is far beyond a debate, it is a collision of theology, history, scripture, and ideology. As many Christian practitioners have always had their stance that only common sense is not enough to understand divine revelations, that one needs to be filled with the ‘Holy Spirit’; then the follow-up question comes in, what about those of other faiths?

Islam constantly defends its faith, image and context using the Qur’an as their base, reiterating that there is no compulsion in religion. Inasmuch critics sometimes if not always, accuse Islam of violence, the counter accusations have been that other religions (Christianity at large) always ignore passages in their Old Testament. The followers of Islamic beliefs question that Christians historically engaged in wars and colonial expansions.

From this episode, it is made clear that though the Christians and Muslims are of their views, the Traditional believer and their beliefs often provide a tighter sense of community, a deeper connection to ancestral roots, and a more profound focus on spiritual reality over worldly gain.

This episode is very much conversational as all panelists expressed their candid opinions on their religious beliefs — and the truth is that there are many ways of killing a rat. Aren’t there? It’s the end result that matters; that is why you have your own belief on purity to original intent to greater commitment and selflessness, etc.
