While global icons such as Samuel L. Jackson, Kendall Jenner, Lamine Yamal, Baby Keem, and James Harden lead the adidas Originals Spring 2026 Superstar campaign, the spotlight also turns locally to Swazi-born DJ and record producer Uncle Waffles.
The princess of Amapiano, who signed a new partnership with adidas in 2025, now represents the campaign from a homegrown perspective. Her debut with adidas saw her make her first appearance in the 2025 “Superstar: The Original” campaign, joining an iconic, multi-generational cast that included Samuel L. Jackson, Missy Elliott, JENNIE, Anthony Edwards, Mark Gonzales, and GloRilla.

Uncle Waffles has been instrumental in pushing Amapiano into the global spotlight. She made history in 2023 as the first Amapiano DJ to perform on a main stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Known for her signature dance style and viral social media moments, her rise continues in 2025 as she prepares to tour with Kaytranada, with the run kicking off in June in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Returning for a second year, Uncle Waffles stars once again in the adidas Superstar campaign, appearing across billboards and media ads while modelling the black-and-white Superstar sneaker topped up with the SST Leather Jacket.
