Pretoria is not just a backdrop, it is the source. On 13 December, Spotify Wrapped 2025 touches down in the capital with PITORI, a night built around the streets, stories and sounds that turned local experiments into national movements.
At 012 Central, three stages and three Pretorian communities trace the journey from Limpopo to Pitori. Lekompo that travelled from the North, Bacardi born in the yards, Pitori Rap, early Amapiano, Hip Hop, Afro Soul and Spoken Word that grew in taxis, campuses and corner hangouts. This is the culture that shaped South Africa’s sound long before it hit the charts.
The lineup is drawn straight from that ecosystem: Pabi Cooper, Mellow and Sleazy, Venom x Banques, Janesh, Sia the Bee, Junior Taurus, Makhadzi, MaWhoo, CIZA, JAZZWRLD x Thukuthela, Darwin Rev and The Black Labone House Band, and more. A dedicated HypeNation community stage gives Pitori Rap, Hip Hop, Drill and Trap its own loud home with cyphers and DJs flipping between trap, drill and local edits, while the Campus Stage and Black Labone Stage honour the city’s most important creative engines.
Around the stages, PITORI builds a full world of capital city culture: spaza inspired spaces, trophy stations, a secret room made for discovery, and food from Pretoria favourites Uncle Faouzi’s and Barcode. It is a love letter to Pitori slang, fashion, dance, food and the communities that live the music every day.
Wrapped Pitori is Spotify taking Wrapped off the app and back to the people who created the sound. It connects the data to real neighbourhoods, real stories and real artists, proving that Wrapped is not just a report. It is a culture going from Pitori to Lefatshe.
