Another Gong in the bag as….VICTORIA MICHAELS Wins Big at the ‘40 Under 40 Achievers Awards’ + Sends a Powerful Call to Action for Environmental Stewardship Speech

Renowned modelpreneur, philanthropist, and environmental advocate, Victoria Michaels, was honored at the recently concluded 40 Under 40 Achievers Awards, winning in the prestigious Climate Change & Sustainability category.

Known for turning passion into purpose, Victoria didn’t just make an appearance,she made a statement. Taking the stage in a stunning Vlisco dress curated by Paon, with hairstyling by Afro Elle and makeup by H.O Beauty Bar, she delivered a powerful speech that called for immediate environmental responsibility.

“Our waste must be segregated, recycled, upcycled, and disposed of properly,” she emphasized to a room full of changemakers.

Her recognition at the 40 Under 40 Awards is a testament to years of unwavering dedication,from beach clean-ups in Ghana to high-level climate dialogues with leaders such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tony Blair at the Austrian World Summit. 

Victoria has also served for three years as the EU Goodwill Ambassador in Ghana, working closely with Ambassador Diana Acconcia and the EU Delegation.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, she reflected:

“Honored to be named a winner for the second time at the 40 Under 40 Achievers Awards, this time in the Environmental & Climate Sustainability category. I accept this in my role as Chief Inspiration Officer of Fashion Connect Africa (FCA), EU Goodwill Ambassador, and lifelong Champion of the Environment.”

Victoria highlighted that this win isn’t hers alone: “I dedicate this award to the child in Chorkor, the mother in Laterbiokoshie, the youth in Nima and to everyone who wonders if their community will ever be clean again. Don’t lose hope. Help is coming. Together, we’ll reclaim our environment.”

She also took a moment to express gratitude to her family, mentors, and supporters who have cheered her on throughout her journey: “This is just the beginning. Onward, upward, and forward.”

In a touching tribute, Victoria celebrated her long-time friend and OAP, Shirley Emma Tibila, who hosted the ceremony – “It was a dream come true to share the stage with Shirley for the first time. After 20 years of friendship, seeing how far we’ve both come,by God’s grace fills me with pride and gratitude.”

Victoria Michaels’ win is more than an accolade; it’s a rallying cry for a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Africa. Her work through Fashion Connect Africa (FCA) and Victoria Michaels Foundation,including youth empowerment and eco-conscious fashion advocacy, continues to set a high bar for impact-driven leadership.
