Netflix’s ‘Thursday Murder Club’ sees Four retirees solve murder cases

‘The Thursday Murder Club’, the latest comedy mystery on Netflix, follows four retirees who spend their golden years cracking cold case murders—for fun.

If you’ve checked out the Mobland TV series, you’ll definitely spot a few familiar faces in this film.

At a quiet retirement home in the English countryside, four sharp-witted residents—Ron Ritchie (Pierce Brosnan), Ibrahim Arif (Sir Ben Kingsley), Elizabeth Best (Dame Helen Mirren), and Joyce Meadowcroft (Celia Imrie)—share an unusual pastime: cracking unsolved crimes.

Their sleuthing adventures unfold alongside appearances by David Tennant, Naomi Ackie, Tom Ellis, and Daniel Mays, adding even more flair to this film.

Murder photos and mystery-solving quickly replace the usual retiree pastimes. Their group grows when Joyce, a nurse-turned-baker with a stomach for the macabre, moves in. But the fun turns serious after one of the home’s owners turns up dead and the other announces plans to bulldoze the place.

With time ticking, this oddball team must solve the case and save their home—without missing tea and cake.

The Thursday Murder Club is now streaming on Netflix.
