The South African Weather Service has issued a warning for cold, cloudy weather sweeping across the central and eastern regions of the country from Wednesday to Thursday.
Residents in Gauteng, Free State, Mpumalanga, North West, and KwaZulu-Natal can also expect isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers during this period.
The South African Weather Service noted that “snowfall is also expected over the escarpments of the Eastern Cape and Lesotho.”
Officials added that they will keep monitoring the system and provide further updates if conditions change.
