South Africa’s Bafana Bafana are set to play Nigeria’s Super Eagles in September for a crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at Free State Stadium (Toyota Stadium) in Bloemfontein.
The match is set to take place on Tuesday, 09 September 2025, at Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein.
Before that, Bafana will play Lesotho on Friday, 5 September 2025, at the same venue.
Bafana Bafana and Nigeria’s Super Eagles are set to renew their Group C rivalry, with South Africa in a strong position after collecting 13 points from six games. Nigeria, meanwhile, have struggled in the qualifiers, sitting fourth with just seven points from the same number of matches, followed by Lesotho with (6 points) and Zimbabwe with (4 points).
