Highly acclaimed Ghanaian highlife musician, singer, and songwriter, Charles Kwadwo Fosu aka Daddy Lumba, has died at age 60.
He was known for his prolific music career, starting in the 1980s with the Lumba Brothers and continuing with a successful solo career.
With over 30 albums, including master hits like “Aben Wɔha,” “Awosuɔ,” and “Sika Asɛm”, you’d agree that the man was beyond special.
With his storytelling and relatable themes, his music evolved to incorporate contemporary elements while staying true to highlife roots.
Later on, he ventured into media with the establishment of DLFM, a radio station in Accra, Ghana.
