This brief is not to tell you what you already don’t know, but it is to remind you to – KEEP, PROTECT, CELEBRATE this woman, SHIRLEY FRIMPONG-MANSO – because until you encounter her and her works, there and then you’d keep questioning yourself, “…how does she do it?”
Let’s not bore you with thesis this early Monday morning, abeg, but use this medium to say, “THANK YOU” to this woman and her entire team who are always insightful, instinctive and interesting.
You may still not get it, but if you attended the just ended, ‘Learn The Secrets To Great Screen Acting With Shirley Frimpong-Manso’, you’d agree with us that ‘this genius’ as we call her, with over seventeen years of producing and directing, is simply an inspiration not just in Ghana, but the continent of Africa at large. From the inception of the idea of wanting to help, assist, and support budding actors and actresses, to understand their purpose in front of the camera once the word “action!” is screamed, there it struck us that she wanted to give back – and she sure did over the weekend.
The workshop – LEARN THE SECRETS TO GREAT SCREEN ACTING WITH SHIRLEY FRIMPONG-MANSO – offered a powerful foundation in the art and business of screen acting; participants first-hand explored key acting techniques, discovered how to deliver emotionally honest on-camera performances, and learnt how to strategically position themselves for opportunities in the film and television industry.

The close to ten hours workshop was involving, interactive and personal; it was refreshing!
We promised to keep this piece short, abi? Before we leave, let’s tell those that didn’t attend this past weekend’s workshop – that when the next one is put together, make sure you attend, make sure you put in the effort to better yourself, and your craft.
For participants who came to the Labadi Beach Hotel on Saturday, one take-home pack with some hope and, of course, food for thought remains that with Sparrow Studios, no substitute for class.
THANK YOU once again to THE Shirley Frimpong-Manso and her entire Team for doing this; don’t stop enriching the beautiful people of Ghana.
