Citi Business Festival: Forum on unlocking Ghana’s agribusiness potential slated for June 19

Final Forum of 2025 Citi Business Festival to Focus on Agribusiness and Economic Growth

The final forum of the 2025 Citi Business Festival is scheduled for Thursday, June 19, at the Alisa Hotel in Accra. Themed “Harnessing Agribusiness Potential for Economic Growth,” the event will spotlight strategies for expanding Ghana’s agricultural frontiers and maximizing productivity.

Discussions will center on unlocking the full potential of the agricultural sector—seen as vital to enhancing economic resilience, creating sustainable jobs, and boosting export diversification.

This invitation-only forum follows last week’s session on tariff reforms and trade competitiveness. It brings together key stakeholders from agribusiness, finance, academia, and policy-making circles. The goal is to develop actionable proposals to transform and revitalize Ghana’s agricultural value chain.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Prof. Roger Kanton – Agricultural Research Expert
  • Davis Korboe – Agribusiness Consultant
  • William Nettey – Financial Sector Representative
  • Dr. Mavis Owureku-Asare – Food Scientist and Technologist

The event will commence at 8:30 a.m. and promises insightful dialogue across a range of disciplines contributing to Ghana’s agribusiness ecosystem.

The forum marks the culmination of the month-long 2025 Citi Business Festival, organized by 97.3 Citi FM and Channel One TV. As part of the festival’s broader agenda, the AgriFair will take place from June 20 to 22 at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park. The fair aims to connect producers of crops, livestock, and agro-processed goods with consumers, retailers, and business partners.

This year’s festival is held in partnership with Absa Bank Ghana and MTN Ghana, with Zonda Tec Ghana as a proud sponsor.
