Kwesi Adu: ‘We will make Ghana proud in our Africa campaign’

Kwesi Adu, the CEO of Bibiani Goldstars, is thrilled about their league win. He looks forward to representing Ghana in Africa and making the country proud.

The Miners were crowned champions over the weekend. They defeated Accra Lions 4-0 in their final game at Dun’s Park. Abdul Farouk Amoaful scored just four minutes into the match. Kelvin Oppong added another goal, giving them a 2-0 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Attah Kumi and Frank Amankwah scored two more goals. This victory confirmed their status as champions. The Yellow-Greens finished with 63 points, three ahead of Nations FC. Unfortunately, Nations FC lost their last game 0-2 at home.

After winning their first top-flight title, Adu expressed confidence in their upcoming Africa campaign. He mentioned strong financial backing for this venture. “Bibiani GoldStars is supported by a mining company,” he said on Asempa FM.

He emphasized that they will improve the team for Africa and aim to make an impact there. Bibiani Goldstars will represent Ghana in the 2025/26 CAF Champions League starting from the qualifying round.
